In a world that slips away, appearances crack and decline becomes vertigo. A moving spectacle where memory wavers as much as bodies.
At the heart of a once sumptuous salon, an aristocrat strives to preserve appearances while everything around him disintegrates. His power wobbles, his body slips away, his mind erodes, through him, it’s a whole world that shifts. Inspired by the masterpiece of the 7th art, Le Salon de musique by Satyajit Ray, Le Salon marked international stages between 2004 and 2009 with its unique blend of theatricality, physical performance, and social critique. Twenty years later, the Belgian company Peeping Tom offers a reconfiguration to question, with an unaltered force, our relationship to decline, loss, and the fragility of our certainties.
