Following the 2019 premiere of the play 'Les Italiens', Massimo Furlan and Claire de Ribaupierre now focus on the life journeys of women who left Italy in the 1960s to settle in Switzerland. Through the stories of Davide Brancato, Rita, Lucia, Anna, and Ali Lamaadli, the play highlights life paths marked by departure, settlement, and parades – navigating between familial heritage, diverse identities, and the necessity to reinvent oneself. More broadly, it questions how each individual finds their place in a community – or does not – and what this concretely means: for the body, for language, for life, but also for those spaces of refuge and transmission that dance or cooking can represent.
