KINO | DOKU After "La Panthère des neiges", wildlife photographer and documentary filmmaker Vincent Munier takes us on another breathtaking journey. Deep in the forests of the Vosges, he learned from his father how to read animal tracks and explore where they feed, hunt, build their nests, and sleep. Now it's time to pass this knowledge on to Simon, Vincent's son. Together, the three set out to discover the diversity and enchanting beauty of the ancient, moss-covered forest. Hidden among the trees, grandfather, father, and son spend numerous nights outside, observing and listening to the diverse sounds. And we discover with them deer, owls, foxes, and lynxes – and sometimes even the flapping of a very rare bird: the capercaillie. "Le Chant des forêts" bridges the gap between man and nature, day and night, personal and universal: a visually magnificent, sensual cinematic poem. In cooperation with Let's Doc: Documentaries for everyone Let’s Doc! is a nationwide project that celebrates the diversity of documentary films in all its facets while making it accessible to a broad audience. Let’s Doc! takes place every year from November 1 to 30 at numerous locations.
