Speaker: Prof. Dr. Robert Riener, Reha-Robotik, ETH Zürich and University of Zurich "The human body: ideas and limits" - Lecture series of the Collegium generale in the fall semester 2026 The human body appears familiar and self-evident to us. But what is considered healthy, normal, beautiful, capable of performance, or even human, has grown historically, is culturally shaped, and scientifically debated. The lecture series questions the ideas, expectations, and boundary-setting that shape our view of the body. In doing so, it offers new insights into a topic that concerns everyone and yet is full of surprising questions.
