Description
An epic with texts by the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda, recited by Kaspar Lüscher, woven into music by Andrei Ichtechenko (accordion) and Gino Suter (violin). Pablo Neruda was a vehement critic of political dictatorships, especially those in his homeland Chile. It is this – unfortunately! – timeless relevance that brings Neruda close to us – and above all, his joyful poetry! Neruda describes in magnificent prose countless impressive and sometimes almost dreamlike experiences from his real life, especially from his youth in Chile. His passion was nature, the natural space. Every step of the way, he shares with us his sensitive, perceptive nature, with which he absorbed the world and the manifold relationships with people and conveyed them to us. Why this project? In today's world, we could break out into hopeless lamentation; but NO! Joy of life and zest for life are the unshakable foundations for hope and the future. Pablo Neruda's literary work is full of musicality and has inspired numerous composers to set it to music.
