Additional informationIn collaboration with MarionNEttes – International Festival BiographyBorn in 1971, Phia Ménard is a performer and director trained in juggling, contemporary dance, mime, and acting. Based in Nantes, she promotes a multidisciplinary theater that escapes fixed categories. In 1998, she co-founded Cie Non Nova, inspired by the Latin precept « We invent nothing, we see it differently ». In 2008, she took a new direction with the I. C. E. project (Injonglabilité Complémentaire des Éléments), focusing on the study of imaginaries and deconstruction. Winner of the Critic’s Prize for theater, dance, and music (2020) and associated artist with several national stages, she advocates for art that questions bodily and social transformation through natural elements.
