Anne Sylvestre has opened a unique path, where indignation becomes poetry, in words and melodies. Accompanied by pianist Lucie Sansen, Marie Fortuit happily explores the work of this great lady of French chanson. Rather than a traditional concert, she invents a new and lively form, bringing forth other voices, those of female authors and companions of the singer, but also her own writing that carries today's struggles. We witness the emergence of a powerful and impactful matriarchal figure, the birth of a feminist constellation, a source of valuable echoes and new paths. In beautiful simplicity, with just a piano, an harmonium, a few guitar chords, the duo offers a moment of pure enchantment. Marie Fortuit, director, actress, and author, is the winner of the 2023 Theatre Revelation Award from the critics' union for "Ombre (Eurydice speaks)" by Elfriede Jelinek. With her background in history and theater studies, her practice of football and classical music, she loves to venture off the beaten path. Marie Fortuit co-directed La Maille, a theatrical creation space dedicated to contemporary writings. As an actress, she has performed alongside Armel Veilhan, Rébecca Chaillon, and Célie Pauthe ("Bérénice") and collaborated with Séverine Chavrier, director of the Geneva Comedy. In 2019, she wrote and directed "Le Pont du Nord," presented at TPR in 2021. Pianist and composer Lucie Sansen began her musical training at CRR Lille. At 17, she received the SACEM writing prize and entered the composition class at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. She recorded a CD for the Ricercare label with Patrick Wibart and within the Trio AENEA, recently awarded a "CD Choc" of March by the magazine CLASSICA.
