The 'Autumn Trilogy' resonated at Giessbach: pure romanticism

Description

A feast for all the senses at the magnificent Grandhôtel Giessbach 1875, a historic establishment overlooking Lake Brienz, with accommodation, hearty breakfast, and a refined three-course menu. A festive program for octet brings together two colorful compositions: the famous 'Nutcracker' suite by Tchaikovsky, in a finely crafted version by Paul Scharf, reviving the magic of ballet with a lively lightness and fairy-tale miniatures. Alongside, Thieriot's octet op. 62 charms with its romantic warmth, chamber music refinement, and lively dialogues between strings and wind instruments – a true discovery. Together, they create a varied concert evening full of charm, elegance, and sonic diversity. Piotr I. Tchaikovsky (1840-1893)
