Support: No Phase (CH) La Sécurité (Montreal/Tiohtia:ke) is a collective whose art-punk consists of driving beats, unusual arrangements, and minimalist melodies – permeated by a nocturnal filter, the result of excessive exposure to neon lights. The music speaks of a risky life and is perfectly suited to be played up and down on the dance floor. The lyrics share the ethos of the Riot Grrrl movement and celebrate women's self-determination, friendships (both good and bad), and goodwill. Since their formation in spring 2022, they have been invited to prominent events such as SXSW, End of the Road, The Great Escape, and Reeperbahn, and have also toured with The Go! Team (2024) and The Rapture (2025). Following the release of their debut album "Stay Safe!", which was on the longlist for the Polaris Music Prize 2024, as well as its cheerful successor "Stay Safe!" REMIXED – in collaboration with Mothland, the quintet released the singles "Detour" and "Ketchup", laying the groundwork for a new wave of DIY sound gems. This time, they worked with Simon Raymond's influential British label Bella Union. Thus, the colorful group continues to move between punk, new wave, and krautrock, skillfully breaking all stylistic boundaries. Their second album "Bingo!" will be released on June 12, 2026.
