« La porte des possibles », a collective exhibition that places youth at the heart of the city From January to October 2026, participants from ESPACE and SEMO Mod'Emploi took part in a collective project blending artistic creation, sports and cultural meetings. The goal was to offer a space for young people aged 15 to 25 in social and professional integration, to express their view on life in Neuchâtel. Presented at the Péristyle of Neuchâtel, « La porte des possibles » highlights the creations made, but also and especially the journey traveled together through the meetings. Visitors are also invited to contribute to a collective work by expressing themselves on the doors they wish to open, close or cross. Although these young learners follow different paths, they share common questions: finding their place in Neuchâtel society, creating links, and imagining their future. This project was born from the desire to facilitate their encounters and to create spaces for exchange, experimentation, and collective creation. Through photography, collage, sports activities, visits to exhibitions, and cultural walks through the city, participants discovered Neuchâtel from a different angle, learned to know themselves, and developed a new perspective on themselves and others. With this exhibition, we aim to place young people at the heart of the city, starting from their identity and personal history to move towards their future aspirations. « What doors do I want to open, close, or cross? » This question has accompanied several stages of the project. Between June and October, recovered panels were transformed into a symbolic facade: « La porte des possibles ». This installation becomes a space for collective expression where visitors are invited to dialogue with the exhibited works and express what matters to them. An invitation for the public to envision a desirable future together. Meanwhile, from August to October, a group of SEMO Mod'Emploi participants took part in the pilot project « Give voice to your strengths », conducted in partnership with the EFFE association and sponsored by singer Aurélien Zohou of Dub Inc. During six artistic workshops, young people explored writing, singing, and various forms of expression to showcase their skills, including those acquired outside of school. This approach led to the creation of a music video, broadcast as part of the exhibition. The exhibition will be held from October 8 to 14 at the Péristyle of the Hôtel-de-Ville.
