La Lanterne Magique is a cinema club aimed at children aged 6 to 12. Without their parents, but surrounded by responsible adults, children discover the joy of cinema in a theater setting. Over a season, they watch nine quality films from different eras and countries. Each screening is accompanied by an illustrated newspaper, sent a few days before the session, which presents the film and helps children prepare for its discovery. Before each screening, a theatrical and multimedia animation, offered by three entertainment professionals, also introduces the film in a fun and educational way. La Lanterne Magique thus offers children an initial experience of cinema that is autonomous, collective, fun, and educational.
