Description

Rodolfo, a young unsuccessful writer, seeks inspiration when unexpectedly a young woman stands at his doorstep: Mimì just wants to relight her extinguished candle, but their encounter opens one of the most moving love stories in opera literature. Director Ole Anders Tandberg tells «La bohème» as a poetic fantasy of four provincial artists dreaming of great success, suddenly finding themselves in the artist myth of Paris. Giacomo Puccini's score combines some of Puccini's most famous arias and touches with unbroken emotional power. Anna Netrebko will be seen as Mimì in several performances.
