La Bête à Trois Têtes, it’s a blues trio full of character! The Neuchâteloise Léa Rovero on bass and vocals, the Londoner Frank Powlesland on lap steel guitar, banjo, and vocals, and the Fribourgeois Nicolas Wolf on drums and guitar combine their worlds to create a distinctly original blues. The band blends syncopated blues, catchy grooves, vintage sounds, and hillbilly accents, mainly performing original compositions. All of this is driven by contagious energy, fiery riffs, and explosive rhythms. Leader of the group, Frank Powlesland also adds a unique touch to the project with several instruments he designed and built himself. Between tradition and modernity, La Bête à Trois Têtes draws inspiration from Mississippi John Hurt, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, and Jerry Douglas, to offer a lively, daring blues full of surprises.
