The craft of making animals and figures from straw (соломоплетіння) has a centuries-old tradition in Ukraine, deeply rooted in rural harvest and faith culture. Historically, golden straw was considered a symbol of the sun, a rich harvest, and fertility. Straw weaving also has a long tradition in Switzerland. In the workshop, we will learn to shape and decorate lively, funny, and curious animals from straw in a colorful way.

Дитячий майстер-клас: тваринки із соломи
Ми створюватимемо тваринок із соломи та прикрашатимемо їх яскравими кольорами.
Виготовлення тварин і фігурок із соломи (соломоплетіння) має в Україні багатовікову традицію, глибоко вкорінену в селянській культурі, традиціях жнив і народних віруваннях. Історично золота солома вважалася символом сонця, багатого врожаю та родючості.
У Швейцарії соломоплетіння також має давні традиції. На майстер-класі ми разом навчимося плести із соломи кумедних, барвистих і дивовижних тваринок та прикрашати їх яскравими кольорами.
Безкоштовно. Для дітей від 5 років та їхніх супроводжуючих.

At the Children's Atelier in Kunst(Zeug)Haus in Rapperswil SG, children aged 5 and above can create fun animals from straw. The workshop introduces the tradition of straw weaving from Ukraine and Switzerland and is conducted in two languages.
