Description
MONOTYPE BY CHRISTINE AEBI-OCHSNER Monotype is a printing technique that cannot be assigned to the usual printmaking, as only a single original is printed each time. Instead of paper or canvas, a glass or acrylic plate is used as the painting surface. Special oil paint is usually applied to it. The fresh paint is absorbed by a paper and pressed into the paper under a printing press, creating the typical print. Monotype is a combination of painting and graphics. OBJECTS BY ROLAND PULFER On the Rosshof site in Basel, I discovered beams and boards with nails in them. I took the wood home, burned it, and retrieved the nails from the ashes. It would have been easier with pliers, but then they would have lost their original, peculiar twisted shape. My first objects were made from these nails. Every nail has a story. Those I collected reveal the dimension of time. VERNISSAGE: Sun, September 6, 1-5 pm Welcome by LISA HOLINGER at 2 pm. Then introduction by GREGOR MUNTWILER. FINISSAGE: Sun, October 25, 11 am-6 pm.
