Our existence is as contradictory and fragmented as our world. We move in cycles and opposites, between closeness and withdrawal, between connection and isolation. No relationship without friction, no success without failure, no arrival without departure. What is connected how, and what hangs on which thin thread? In «Patchwork», Kumpane Black Box tells with dance and text about life as a patchwork, about the beauty of seams and the sudden feeling of standing on the brink of a breakthrough. And in doing so, creates a coherent whole from diverse parts. With the youth dance company KUMPANE BLACK BOX, Tina Beyeler and Andri Beyeler from the independent dance theater group KUMPANE have developed a platform where young people can explore thematic fields through contemporary dance and translate them into their own stage language.
