Five professional artists from Visarte Valais created new works specifically for the historic barns in the old village center of Kippel—site-specific, material-based, and in dialogue with architecture, nature, and the community. The Lötschental stands as a landscape caught between tradition and change: The traces of the landslide in Blatten serve as a reminder of just how fragile this breathtaking environment is. Between loss and new beginnings, between fragility and resilience, a space emerges in which art reveals just how deeply nature and culture are intertwined—and how a community pulls together in the face of change.
