Since its founding in 1991 by the Israeli-born choreographer Ronen (Roni) Koresh, the ensemble has stood for a highly energetic dance art that boldly crosses genre boundaries. The unmistakable Koresh style impresses with emotional expressiveness, technical virtuosity, and captivating rhythmic precision. Influenced by the teachings of Lester Horton and the lyrical jazz style of Luigi, Koresh developed his own, stylistically mature aesthetic. His works merge the grounding of Israeli folk dance with the elegance of classical ballet, the freedom of modern dance, and the urban energy of jazz, hip-hop, and club dance into a dynamic whole. Under Koresh's direction, the company has developed into a vibrant center of choreographic innovation. He creates several new works annually, demonstrating the 'wealth of dynamic choreographic ideas' (Art Burst Miami). This repertoire is complemented by works from internationally renowned guest choreographers.
