Known worldwide as a cult duo and artistically connected for over 20 years, Moldovan violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja and Turkish pianist Fazıl Say return to Bern. The highly indicative and characteristic program features original compositions by the performers, a rarely played work of Polish modernism, and Beethoven's "Kreutzersonate" as the highlight. The recording of this work made powerful headlines: for example, Der Spiegel titled "Patricia makes the wild boar," of course in the sense of "unconventional, unorthodox, incredibly good" (Rondo). Both performers have a decades-long collaboration with many Swiss cultural institutions – including the master cycle. Patricia Kopatchinskaja also completed her composition studies in Bern. An invigorating performance in every respect is to be expected!
