The brass quintet Brass Bridges and organist Sofija Grgur invite you to a festive concert evening.
The program spans from the magnificent sound world of the Renaissance through the Romantic era to the exhilarating rhythms of the 20th century and promises an impressive concert experience that makes the tonal diversity and expressive power of the extraordinary ensemble tangible. The brass quintet Brass Bridges was founded in 2020
and brings together five experienced musicians from Northern Switzerland and
southern Germany. What initially started as a project during a time
of limited rehearsal opportunities quickly
developed into a sought-after ensemble for concert and church music. With great joy of playing, tonal diversity, and finely
coordinated interplay, Brass Bridges dedicates itself to a broad repertoire – from the Renaissance to
modern times.
Together with organist Sofija Grgur, the musicians
present a varied concert program that makes the tonal
variety and expressive power of the extraordinary ensemble tangible. The combination of brass quintet and
organ unites radiant festivity with fine sound colors and
constantly opens up new musical perspectives.
The program includes works by Giovanni Gabrieli, Sigfrid
Karg-Elert, Viktor Ewald, Leonard Bernstein, and Eugène Gigout.
The concert is complemented by organ solo works, interpreted
by Sofija Grgur. The program spans from the
