Kohlwurstfest

Description

Every year in Orbe, during the "Kohlwurstfest," this Vaud specialty as well as the "Papet vaudois" are celebrated. The event takes place over several days at the marketplace and various locations in the city, offering meals, entertainment, concerts, and stalls with regional products. For this 20th edition, a varied program is planned. Wednesday evening begins with a gala evening and the founding of the Gilde der Sauerkrautwurst with protected geographical indication (IGP) in the presence of Philippe Ligron. On Thursday evening, a performance by Simon Romang, "Planchette," takes place under the canteen at the marketplace, and on Friday evening, there is a concert by the "Sales Gosses." During the weekend, entertainment programs and activities are offered between the Place du Marché, the Esplanade du Château, and the Grand-Rue. The "Papet vaudois" and the Kohlwurst can be tasted under the canteen or in partner restaurants. Kohlwurst is also available for takeout.
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings are only possible with prior reservation. On Saturday and Sunday, you can enjoy a "Papet vaudois" and a sausage at the partner restaurants and in the canteen for 22 CHF per adult and 12 CHF per child.
