What do polyamory, insomnia, pesto, and jazz have in common? Surprisingly a lot at KNOBIL. The Lausanne double bassist, singer, and composer Louise Knobil turns personal stories into quirky songs that swirl somewhere between jazz, punk, chanson, and pop. She is supported by her «Knodisciples» Chloé Marsigny on the bass clarinet and Vincent Andreae on drums. Together, they play playfully, virtuously, and with a good dose of cheeky energy. KNOBIL can groove, whisper, sparkle, and suddenly turn a corner. The music is personal without being small, and humorous without becoming harmless. A concert for everyone who likes jazz served a bit more quirky, direct, and with a wink.
