After nearly a hundred concerts across Europe and three released albums, KNOBIL makes a stop for one evening at the Nodathèque Station. The trio led by Lausanne's contrabass player and vocalist Louise Knobil embodies the vision of free and authentic jazz. On stage, the musicians are connected by a raw energy and a distinctly punk spirit – somewhere between post-bop, sparkling jazz, and French chanson. Louise Knobil, influenced by Esperanza Spalding, Charles Mingus, and not least Boris Vian, offers insights into her musical diary with the contrabass and her voice, touching on themes like polyamory, sleep deprivation, and pesto recipes. 2026–27 sees jazz entering Noda WKB – multifaceted, surprising, and limitless! Seven concerts invite you to explore the diversity of the Swiss West scene: jazz and improvisation meet Afro-Brazilian rhythms, hip-hop, baroque influences, and contemporary sounds. The Nodathèque will become a vibrant meeting point for new sounds, unexpected encounters, and music beyond all boundaries.
