Description

This poetic and political cabaret by schön&gut combines clever satire, boundless imagination, wordplay, singing, and quick role switches. The event revolves around the rare outdoor performance of «Die Blutbuche» in Großhöchstetten, which is only staged once every 50 years before the tree is felled. Director Frau Gut faces challenges as characters clash, and when Herr Schön takes radical action in a heated debate about freedom and democracy, more than just the play is at stake. The performers, Anna-Katharina Rickert and Ralf Schlatter, have been active in Swiss small venues since 2003 and have received multiple awards including the Salzburger Stier and Swiss cabaret prizes.
