Vera Kappeler and Peter Zumthor have been pursuing their very own artistic path for many years, characterized by reduction, precision, childlike playfulness, humor as well as depth and melancholy. Their music defies any categorization and finds its inspirations also in extra-musical sources. From theater music to settings of texts and films to site-specific projects and interdisciplinary works at the interface of music and visual arts, the duo has been active across genres from early on. With the albums Babylon Suite (ECM Records 20214) and Herd (Intakt Records 2021) as well as numerous concert appearances at home and abroad, they have established themselves as a unique duo. --- Jeppe Zeeberg: Piano Jeppe Zeeberg is one of Denmark's most original and idiosyncratic musicians. As a composer, solo pianist and bandleader of the pan-Scandinavian ensembles Horse Orchestra and The Absolute Pinnacle of Human Achievement, he combines virtuosic piano playing with free improvisations, cross-genre compositions and performative art. His music has been repeatedly praised as a masterful vision of jazz and contemporary music. With ten released albums and tours in the USA, Switzerland, Japan, China and Scandinavia, Zeeberg is one of the most exciting voices of European contemporary music.
