The string concert Tief-sinnig immerses us in the world of remembrance for this occasion, as expressed by Richard Strauss in his orchestral song Allerseelen. But the program will not only be sad: In Vasks' Musica Serena, the 'Bright and Beautiful' of music is heard, and Sibelius' Romance invites contemplative reflection. The young Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy also sought peace and retreat in Switzerland. In his youth, he composed the 'Swiss String Symphony,' in the third movement of which a famous yodel was inserted.
