Description

Kafka Band is a music-literary project that works with the works of writer Franz Kafka and transforms them into an alternative rock form. The song lyrics are directly derived from Kafka's works. Collaborating here are writer Jaroslav Rudiš and artist and musician Jaromír 99, authors of the cult comic Alois Nebel. The band features guitarist and producer Dušan Neuwert, along with other musicians: Tomáš Neuwert, Lukáš Morávek, Zdeňek Jurčík, and Petr Weiser. Kafka Band has recorded three successful albums inspired by the novel fragments of Franz Kafka: Das Schloss – Zámek, Amerika, and Der Process – Proces. At the autumn concert as part of the Days of Jewish Culture, they will present a selection of these at Central. You can look forward to a long, dark, and danceable Kafkaesque evening.
