Description

Normally, Gregor is the first to get up and go to work. He brings money home for the whole family. On the morning our story begins, something is different. Gregor does not get up, does not go to work. He stays in bed. The mother, father, and sister hear strange noises from Gregor's room. Gregor has transformed. Mother, father, and sister do not know what to do. The transformed Gregor has no place in their lives. He dies. With "Käfer," Theater Sgaramusch stages a classic for a young audience. A story about the desire for a world with room for all Gregors. A world where children and young people dare to be who they are. Even if that brings change. On Saturday, October 17, the family workshop "Tierisch!" takes place before the performance. Content note: Käfer deals with themes such as exclusion, loneliness, and death. These themes accompany both adults and children and young people in different facets and life contexts. Therefore, we do not want to taboo them but make them openly accessible in the theater. Teachers who want to prepare their classes specifically for the play are gladly referred to our play introductions, where we come to the class and prepare the students content-wise and playfully for the theater visit.
