The old town of Estavayer-le-Lac hosts numerous workshops where passionate artisans continue to pass down exceptional skills. For a weekend, the Artisans' Days allow the public to open their doors, attend demonstrations, exchange with creators, and even participate in hands-on workshops to learn their techniques. A great opportunity to discover the richness of these craft professions, often little known, and to inspire vocations for these manual and creative trades.
For the sixth consecutive year, the medieval town will transform into a discovery trail on Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The Estavayer-le-Lac Museum and its frogs are partnering with the event by opening their doors for free all weekend, where several invited artisans will showcase their work and techniques.
After previously being based in the former BENU pharmacy, the House of artisans is now located at the Tourist Office, Place des Bastians 1. Serving as the event's welcome point, it will become a true pavilion of craft trades, with an exhibition featuring works from all participants, as well as a live demonstration by an invited artisan.
