The Joscho Stephan Trio is one of the most exciting formations in the acoustic guitar scene. Influenced by the masterful guitar artistry of bandleader Joscho Stephan, it develops a modern evolution of the classic swing in the style of Django Reinhardt through collaboration with Sven Jungbeck (guitar) and Volker Kamp (double bass). The trio impresses not only with newly interpreted classics of the genre but also with original compositions that incorporate elements from Latin, classical, pop, and rock. This creative mix captivates a broad audience and showcases the trio as musical visionaries. The trio has played sold-out concerts in Germany and performed at renowned festivals such as the Leverkusener Jazztage and the Rheingau Musik Festival. Internationally, the trio regularly tours in Italy, Poland, and Spain, and is planning an extensive tour covering both the USA and Australia. Joscho Stephan has collaborated with artists like Bireli Lagrène, Stochelo Rosenberg, Tommy Emmanuel, John Petrucci, Daniel Hope, Peter Kraus, as well as guitarists Richard Smith and Rory Hoffman in the Transatlantic Guitar Trio. Notably, he was the only European guitarist to participate in the renowned "George Benson Camp," which also featured Al Di Meola, Steve Lukather, and Tommy Emmanuel. Joscho Stephan also performed with Frank Vignola and John Jorgenson at the legendary Birdland Jazzclub in New York, where they played a total of eight performances – another highlight of his international career.
