Between Netflix and Nietzsche, between depth and madness. A spoken-word evening with heart, wit, poetry, absurdity, and an urn. "I was born on March 28, 1990 – without my explicit consent – into this world and am the youngest child of my parents," says Johannes Millius about himself. Consistently, he dedicates his first solo evening unexpectedly to his own death. Between a love story and a pre-printed condolence card, he guides the audience past the southern slopes of Rioja, the Zähringer pharmacy in Bern, and crates of LEGO bricks. Where memories suddenly are louder than words, he finds humor in the dust of the transient. An evening that comforts without being kitschy and makes you laugh where you least expect it. Johannes R. Millius is, after Sina, Tschugger, and various FIFA presidents, the next desperate attempt by the Canton of Valais to appear somehow sympathetic in the rest of Switzerland. Far from all clichés, he still sounds like holidays on Bettmeralp and ski camp in Fiesch. And of course, he knows all the people you know from Valais – probably even for family reasons. Between Valais humor and quiet melancholy, he shows that even death sounds a little warmer in dialect. Johannes Millius is the winner of the Jungsegler Förderpreis 2026 with «Im Abgang lebhaft»!
