Description

Joe Haider fills more than an exciting chapter in the book of jazz history. For over 60 years, he has been a jazz pianist, composer, arranger, and educator. He has also left his mark in Switzerland, having led the Swiss Jazz School in Bern from 1984 to 1995. His current production is a grand homage to the American trumpeter Miles Davis. All pieces from the then-new Miles Davis Quintet starting in 1960 (with Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, Tony Williams) are rehearsed and performed in his spirit and conception! Haider dusts off the sound of the historic quintet and fills it with the experience of a nine-decade-long musical life. Source: BeJazz License: CC BY-SA 4.0
