JIOG - INTERNATIONAL BEARDED VULTURE OBSERVATION DAY
with Juan Manuel Martinez Soriano and Pierre Lauener An international Bearded Vulture survey is organized every year, stretching from the Mercantour through the Swiss Alps to the Austrian Eastern Alps. The objectives of this day are to identify new pairs that are settling in, to determine the minimum number of individuals present throughout the Alpine arc, and to establish their distribution by age group. If you’d like to learn more, you’re welcome to join us on-site at any time. Be sure to bring binoculars and/or a camera, as well as warm clothing appropriate for the weather conditions.
