Years before the release of OH/KY – his raw, Rust Belt-influenced debut album – Jeremy Pinnell grew up near the Ohio River, surrounded by sounds as vast as the sky of the Midwest. Merle Haggard, Concrete Blonde, Tom Petty, AC/DC, and gospel hymns shaped a songwriter whose music would reach far beyond Kentucky. After four albums, Pinnell returns to these melodic roots with "Decades," his most catchy album to date. Produced by two-time GRAMMY winner Shooter Jennings, the album revisits the radio hits of his youth. "I love big, melodic songs that deal with serious themes," says Pinnell. "I wanted 'Decades' to be personal but also entertaining." Created after years on tour – and in the silence after the pandemic – "Decades" reflects on movement, meaning, and change. "Barabbas" recalls his church roots; "Come Home To Me," "Too Much Sugar," and "Dallas" explore love, faith, and redemption with equal strength and grace. The album "Decades," recorded live in Los Angeles with Jennings and an all-star band, shows Pinnell as open and authentic as never before. A decade after his debut, he is still searching for the perfect song – breaking conventions, blending roots music with rock, and finding light in the in-between.
