Jean Perrin exhibits at La Sagne under the impetus of Marie Christine Patthey From October 10 to November 1, 2026, La Sagne will host an exhibition dedicated to the painter Jean Perrin, proposed by Marie Christine Patthey, who inaugurates on this occasion a new way of sharing art. After several years running her gallery in Montricher, Marie Christine Patthey closed the doors of this space last June. A closure that does not mark the end of her artistic journey, quite the opposite: she now chooses to become a "nomad," going to meet artists and the public in new places. The Jean Perrin exhibition at La Sagne is thus the first step of this new adventure. Jean Perrin, a reinvented nature Trained at the École d’arts appliqués in Vevey, Jean Perrin initially developed his creative universe in the field of animation, notably creating several series for Swiss and French television. He also participated, in the 1980s and 1990s, in various youth programs of TSR. Today, painter and watercolorist, Jean Perrin develops a unique work, at the border between figuration, abstraction, and imagination. He works notably with mixed techniques, combining acrylic and collage. Material plays an essential role in his compositions: it overlaps, transforms, and suggests landscapes that sometimes seem familiar before revealing themselves as entirely different. For Jean Perrin, nature is never simply depicted. It becomes an emotion, an atmosphere, a movement. A gallery that becomes nomadic With this exhibition, Marie Christine Patthey opens a new chapter after the experience of La Chaumière in Montricher, a place she dedicated to meetings between artists, crafts, and the public. Rather than settling in a fixed location, she wishes to continue her activity through encounters and opportunities, temporarily investing different spaces and creating artistic events in unexpected places. This first nomadic exhibition at La Sagne reflects this desire: to circulate art, create encounters, and continue to support the artists she loves, while offering the public new contexts to discover their works.
