Hurricane Siesta explores the space between Armenian folk and liturgical music and modern jazz, creating a lively dialogue that fuses tradition with the present. The ensemble, led by Geneva-based pianist and composer Arno Kristensen, crafts carefully composed pieces that serve as a foundation for collective improvisation, resulting in constantly evolving sound textures. Driven by a rhythm deeply rooted in the body, their organic and flexible music continuously shifts between structure and spontaneity, offering an engaging live experience.
