Klaus Koenig p, Patrick Sommer b, Andreas Wettstein dr The Jazz Live Trio owes its creation to a commission from Swiss Radio SRF to form a house trio for a jazz concert series to accompany the invited soloists. From 1964 to 1982, it had the privilege of taking on this demanding task 111 times, with multiple changes in lineup. Pianist Klaus Koenig experienced many wonderful moments as both a radio personality and musician until he was sidelined by focal dystonia in 1998. It wasn't until 2013 that he dared to return to the stage, despite unsuccessful therapy. He revived the Jazz Live Trio with Patrick Sommer and Andreas Wettstein. It was at least as intense as the rhythm section of the quintet Seven Things. www.klauskoenig.ch
