James Blunt: Live in Geneva and Zurich with new album «Airplane Mode» Ready for takeoff: James Blunt will release his new album «Airplane Mode» on November 6. To celebrate, he announces a large-scale European tour – and will stop in Geneva and Zurich in 2027. Tickets will be available from Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
The album «Airplane Mode» features the carefree first single «Tastes Like Summer» and eleven more stories in song form, in which James narrates the colorful journey of life. Also included is the newly released second single «Weight Of It All», which powerfully describes the pressure of today's times on human life. Other highlights include the epic track «Circles», destined to become a Blunt classic, as well as the catchy groove of «Oh Daisy» and the emotional rawness of «Modern Love». The album marks a return to form for an artist who continues to surprise. «Somewhere back there I lost my way, but I found it again in a studio in Banbury», he says about the Pig Music Studios, where most of the album was recorded. «Airplane Mode» was recorded together with James’s brilliant, long-standing live band and benefits greatly from it.
