Jakob Schwerdtfeger Point Point Comma Dash, that's art history

Description

A wild ride through 1000 years of art – an overview of all eras! Why is the Baroque the coke of art? What does Expressionism have to do with the Milka cow? And why is the Renaissance the overachiever among the eras? Full of humor, comedian and art historian Jakob Schwerdtfeger provides an understandable and well-founded overview of all art periods – from the Middle Ages to today. Like a truffle pig, he searches for fun facts and anecdotes, whether about great masters or underestimated underdogs. Why did the Mona Lisa end up in a pizza advertisement? Why did ghost summoning influence the invention of abstraction? And how did singer Taylor Swift make an unknown painting world-famous? This book has the answers ready. Schwerdtfeger's unique mix of knowledge and entertainment allows us to experience art history anew. So, no more overwhelm and boredom! Photo© Marvin Ruppert
