A theatrical adaptation of the book of the same name by Jakub Ryška and Pavel Šplíchal, based on the award-winning blog Prigl.cz, sarcastically guides you through the life phases of a person in late capitalism: from school desks through endless meetings and three-shift operations to the desire for peace (or at least a lunch break). The performance follows a trio of classmates who embark on adulthood from different starting positions – one from a poor village, another from a well-off family, and the third somewhere in between. And although they all went through the same educational system and life milestones, they soon realize that equal opportunities do not exist. This “cheerful instruction” is not afraid to insult the entire middle class – and does so with disarming honesty and contagious humor. The creators of the performance, directing duo Adam Svozil and Kristýna Jankovcová, approached the source material as an entertaining training on life in a system where a nice future is promised only by a recruitment flyer. The acting trio of Radka Caldová, Tomáš Žilinský, and Marek Kristián Hochman will guide you from hope to resignation. Together, they create a collage of scenes, blog insights, personal stories, and absurd notes from both work and personal life.
