Friday, October 2nd, 7:30 PM. Free admission. Collection. Intra Terra is a duo consisting of Ioulitta (voice) and Pablo Allende (electric guitar), which combines Greek and Argentine folklore with songs from various musical and cultural contexts. The repertoire includes traditional songs, whose melodic and rhythmic structures are preserved and reinterpreted through improvisation and a body-based musical practice. Intra Terra understands folklore as a living material that not only contains cultural memory but also social relationships and notions of gender. Particularly, traditional representations of gender roles and female sexuality are addressed, questioned, and re-negotiated through contemporary interpretation. The music thus becomes a space where cultural identity, migration, and social structures interact.
