LECTURE WITH MUSICAL ACCOMPANIMENT The history of art as we know it is still often told through the lens of famous male names. However, female artists have contributed to many developments or even anticipated them, exploring areas long considered male domains without receiving proper recognition in history books. This lecture invites a journey of discovery through various epochs of art history: from early pioneers of the Renaissance to Paula Modersohn-Becker and the visionary worlds of Hilma af Klint and the representatives of abstract expressionism. Their life paths and works offer surprising perspectives on art history and shed new light on common art historical interpretations. The speaker, Irina Müssig, is an art historian and staff member at the Forum Würth Rorschach. The lecture will be accompanied by classical music. Jaroslaw Netter - Piano, Thomas Berchtold - Cello
