«Innocence & Love» – From Heavenly Purity to Human Longing

Description

Together with the Swiss soprano Chelsea Zurflüh and the trumpeter Immanuel Richter, the Festival Strings Lucerne and Daniel Dodds create an extraordinary concert evening about the emergence of love – from heavenly purity to the vulnerable beauty of human feelings. For the first time, one of Europe's most exciting young soprano voices, Chelsea Zurflüh, will be on stage with the Festival Strings Lucerne. The winner of the Concours de Genève recently attracted attention with important debuts, including at the Bavarian State Opera, the Vienna Konzerthaus, and the Royal Opera House Covent Garden. Starting from the trumpet as a symbol of radiant clarity and selected Baroque arias, the program spans a large musical arc. In the second part, Mozart leads ever deeper into the world of human emotions – from tender infatuation through longing and hope to pain and farewell.
