Limeco provides detailed information about the referendum proposal for the revision of the plant contract and looks forward to direct exchange. Limeco converts waste and wastewater into clean energy – for a livable Limmattal. To ensure this remains the case in the future, a clear framework is needed: a modern plant contract. The revision of the plant contract is necessary because the population of Limmattal has grown significantly, climate goals are high, and environmental and nature conservation as well as other regulations have been tightened. The wastewater treatment plant and the waste incineration plant also need to be completely renewed – with the Generation Project Limmattaler Energy Center LEZ. The revised plant contract gives Limeco the necessary entrepreneurial scope of action, while control remains in the hands of the eight supporting municipalities.
