Limeco provides detailed information about the referendum proposal for the revision of the establishment contract and looks forward to direct exchange. Limeco converts waste and wastewater into clean energy – for a livable Limmattal. To ensure this remains the case in the future, a clear framework is needed: a modern establishment contract. The revision of the establishment contract is necessary because the population of Limmattal has grown significantly, climate goals are ambitious, and environmental and nature conservation as well as other regulations have been tightened. The wastewater treatment plant and the waste incineration plant also need to be completely renewed – with the Generation Project Limmattaler Energy Center LEZ. The revised establishment contract gives Limeco the necessary entrepreneurial scope, while control remains in the hands of the eight supporting municipalities.
