In Memory, the legendary band from České Budějovice from the turn of the millennium, managed to reunite in their original lineup in the rehearsal room after 20 years. There, the musicians realized that they still work well together, they enjoy it again, and at the request of fans, they will hold a commemorative concert. The progressive hard rock band will perform on Friday, November 20, in the large hall of Beseda in České Budějovice in the original lineup consisting of: Josef Fojta (vocals, guitar), Petr Kubát (guitar), Jan Reindl (Hammond, piano), Michal L. Hořejší (bass), and David Tačůd Petroušek (drums). The five musicians will play most of their original songs from the albums She's Plastic and Did I Waste My Time. A visual show is also in preparation. The band In Memory was formed in 1998 and made a significant mark in the history of the South Bohemian music scene at the turn of the 90s and 2000s. Their original approach to hard rock and blues rock influenced an entire generation of young bands. They played over 300 concerts across the country, including participation in summer festivals such as Trutnov Open Air, Mezi ploty, Rock For People, Blues v Lese, and Open Air Musicfest Přeštěnice. They also regularly performed in renowned clubs in Prague, such as Rock Café, ROXY, Vagon, and Lucerna Music Bar. They shared the stage with names like Marián Varga, Vladimír Mišík, Blue Effect, and Marsyas. In 2003, they became the first winners of the Radio Beat competition called Naděje Beatu. They independently released two albums that received positive feedback from music critics and listeners. Their performances were famous for their energetic shows, brilliant instrumental performances by individual players, and a lot of energy flowing from the stage. The last concert of In Memory took place in October 2006. Since then, they have never reunited in the original lineup until now – after twenty years.
