ACOUSTIC TOUR - TRANQUILO II After sixteen years, it is finally happening again: With Tranquilo II, In Extremo is once again going on an acoustic tour. On Thursday, December 3, 2026, the band will stop at the venerable Volkshaus Zürich and promises an evening full of atmosphere, musical nuances, and surprising perspectives on familiar songs. When Tranquilo first went on tour, the band showed a side that many fans had not experienced before: reduced, intimate, and full of sonic details. The response was overwhelming – and the desire for a continuation persisted for years. Now, In Extremo is opening a new chapter of this special concept. Since the first Tranquilo project, much has happened. New albums have been released, numerous songs have found their way into the repertoire, and many of them are just waiting to be brought to life in a new, acoustic guise. The band has been known for decades for its unique mix of rock, medieval instruments, and historical influences. They remain true to their creative self-understanding. From early performances at medieval markets to international festival and arena stages, In Extremo has repeatedly shown that musical curiosity is a core part of their work. For this tour, the musicians have also invited special guests: Oliver “SaTyr” Pade and Niel Mitra from Faun, as well as violinist Justin Ciuche, who enriches the program with additional sound colors and virtuosic playing.
