Accompanied by The Young Gods, choreographer Sasha Waltz offers a moving interpretation of Terry Riley's famous score.
After performing In C with Landwehr at BlueFactory in 2019, The Young Gods now accompany the Sasha Waltz & Guests company on stage at Equilibre for a movement recreation of Terry Riley's revolutionary work, which by its nature lends itself to constant reinvention in all artistic forms. Since 2021, the German choreographer has initiated an unprecedented process of continuous creation, with In C serving as a matrix. From this open score, dancers multiply echoing gestures, never colliding, brushing against trance in a redistribution of roles between the individual and the collective, in a constantly shifting performance.
