Description
The entire history of the emergence of life on our planet can be read from the minerals of rocks and fossils. "Imprints of Time" are all around us; you just need to want to recognize and discover them...This introductory text expresses the basic idea of the entire exhibition. Interesting exhibits of fossilized animals and plants, mainly from the geological eras of the Paleozoic and Mesozoic, can be viewed here. The finds come from both well-known and lesser-known locations around the world. A significant part of the exhibition is dedicated to the legacy of Joachim Barrande, a French engineer who made Central Bohemia one of the most important global sites for fossils, especially trilobites. In addition to fossil exhibits, the exhibition includes a variety of minerals, particularly agate, from both domestic and global locations. An integral part of the exhibition is meteorites from all known global fall fields. These cosmic travelers played a significant role in the formation and development of life on our planet. The exhibition is supplemented with a number of texts for individual exhibits, which will be especially appreciated by school groups as supplementary information for teaching about the geological development of our planet.
