Holeček & Dvorská is a project by singer and multi-instrumentalist Honza Holeček (Livin Free, Flamengo RS, ex Energit, Blues band Luboše Andršta) and rock violinist and virtuoso Eliška Dvorská (String Ladies, Purplemania). This acoustic duo incorporates elements of Anglo-American folk rock, rock, and prog rock. The performance will feature a large portion of original works by Honza Holeček, as well as covers from Peter Hammill, Chris Cornell, and even Led Zeppelin... Honza Holeček (*April 15, 1969) is a composer, singer, guitarist, and keyboardist. His specialty is playing the Hammond B3 organ. In his childhood, he attended music school focusing on piano. In the late 80s, influenced by hard rock icons of the 70s, he began singing with the band Freeway Jam (1988-1991; 1993-1995 and 1997-2001), primarily interpreting works by Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and others. During these years, he also played with the bands The Way and Black Rain. In the late 90s, he took on the role of lead singer and occasional organist in the hard rock group Red Baron Band (1996-2003; 2011-2013). In 2006, he joined the revived jazz-rock-blues ensemble Energit as a singer. At the request of Luboš Andršta, he returned to playing keyboards. After 2008, there was a break, and from 2012-2021, Energit resumed its concert activities. During this break, he had the opportunity to continue collaborating with L. Andršta in his Blues Band, where he sang and played keyboards until 2015. From 2017-2018, he was part of the hard rock power trio Blues Amplified, with whom he recorded the album “Space Shuffle.” At the end of 2018, he founded the original project Livin Free, releasing the debut album “Voices from Beyond” in 2019. From 2020-2023, he collaborated with guitarist Pavel Marcel in the Holeček & Marcel Project, either performing as an acoustic duo or in an expanded electric version with rhythm section: Michal “Kolouch” Daněk on drums and Zdeněk “Wimpy” Tichota on bass and second guitar, taken over by Jiří Rambousek. Holeček & Marcel Project released the successful album “Light Up your Fire” in 2022 under Supraphon. Honza Holeček is now the frontman of the legendary revived band Flamengo (now Flamengo Reunion Session), performing the famous repertoire from 1969-1972, singing in place of Ivan Khunt and Vladimír Mišík, and continuing to play the “Hammond.” Flamengo Reunion Session released a live album “Flamengo Reunion Session – Live” in 2022. Currently, Honza performs both as a solo artist in an acoustic version with piano and guitar, primarily with his own repertoire. His number one current project is his band Livin Free, with which he also released the critically acclaimed album “From Cradle to Coffin” in spring 2024 under Supraphon. The recording of this album featured the rare guest drummer Winston A. Watson Jr., who played in Bob Dylan's band in the 90s. The permanent lineup of Livin Free includes Honza Holeček, Zdeněk Wimpy Tichota, Jiří Rambousek, Michal Kolouch Daněk, and Vladimír Boryš Secký. Eliška Dvorská (*June 21, 1984, in Prague) comes from an artistic family – her father was a writer, and her mother a piano teacher. She began playing the violin at the age of three and a half, initially under the guidance of her father, an enthusiastic amateur musician. From the age of five, she attended the then folk school of arts in Voršilská Street in Prague. As a child, she was accustomed to performing publicly, participating in children's violin competitions where she won numerous awards. In 1997, she won an audition for a public concert in Dvořák Hall at the Rudolfinum, performing alongside Josef Suk with the Prague Chamber Philharmonic. In 1998, she was accepted into the Prague Conservatory, where she studied under the excellent violinist and expert in violin methodology, Doc. Jindřich Pazdera. She completed her six-year study there in 2005 and in the same year began her first year at HAMU, where she was accepted based on successful entrance exams. She completed her studies at HAMU in 2010, obtaining a master's degree. During her studies, she traveled abroad to play with orchestras and participated in studio recordings with well-known Czech singers (Aneta Langerová, Hana Hegerová, Marta Kubišová). Currently, she is part of the group String Ladies, and in the past, she was a member of Inflagranti and the backing band of Travis O'Neill – Cardinal Sins. In 2021, she released her first entirely solo album titled Romantic Violin. In 2007 and 2021, she performed at the Karel Ditter festival as a soloist with the Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc under the baton of conductor Petr Chromčák.
